Wellbeing interventions are tailored to the individual pupil’s need, and we recognise that wellbeing is influenced by many different factors. Past experiences, attitudes and outlook can all impact on wellbeing.
The overall aim of wellbeing interventions is to help a pupil build positive social and emotional skills. Wellbeing interventions allow the pupil to have a safe space in which they can manage their own thoughts, feelings and behaviours. We know that when pupils have a positive sense of well-being, they perform better in all areas of their lives.
Having good wellbeing can help a pupil to:
- Feel and express a range of emotions.
- Have good relationships with others.
- Cope with stress when things change.
- Have confidence and self-esteem.
- Enjoy the world around them.
